We visited the Maeklong Railway Market on a day tour from Bangkok and loved how safe it actually feels despite the dramatic name. Vendors quickly clear the tracks, there are clear safety announcements, and plenty of cafes let you watch the train pass from a comfortable distance.
The tour also stopped at a beautiful floating village nearby, making for a perfect full-day escape from the city. We highly recommend it if you're in Bangkok for a few days and want something unique.
